The board and train program, is a program where you drop off your untrained dog, and a short time later pick up him/her fully trained.

Our Board Train Program was designed for persons who do not have the time or physical ability to personally work with their dog on a day to day basis.

Our 5 week program covers all of the same exercises as the group classes, and is 100% GUARANTEED!

You will also receive private lessons so the dog's owner can learn the commands that their dog already now knows.

For persons outside of the Jacksonville, Florida area, we offer pick-up service at the airport, and a video of your dogs training instead of the private lessons per request. We are also available for teleconference or on the web.

Our Lifetime Guarantee is exactly what it says. For as long as you own your dog, you can bring him back to Scheurman's K9 Academy for a refresher course, at no additional charge. This course also offers the private lessons or the training video for our out area clients.

We do all the work for you.

Accommodations :

All inside house pets will be kept inside, in a climate controlled environment. Out door pets will be kenneled out side or inside at our discretion.

Meals

All dogs will be fed once a daily, at night, to prevent bloat (life threatening condition) due to exercise. Each dog will be fed a Super Premium brand dog food. They will also receive 1/2 pound cooked beef liver, and two cooked eggs (hard boiled) each week, of their stay. Puppies will be fed a Super Premium brand puppy food. They will also receive 1/3 pound cooked beef liver, and two cooked eggs (hard boiled) each week of their stay.

Veterinary

We have a veterinarian on call, twenty-four hours a day seven days a week, for any emergency that may arise. We will first try to notify you, next we will try to use your veterinarian, But when time is of the utmost importance, we will call our veterinarian FIRST!!!!

Medical

All dogs brought for board and train must have a Veterinary Health Certificate. All Shots to include Rabies, DHLP, Parvo, Corona, Bordetella, must be current and on Heartworm medicine. You must supply the Heartworm Medicine. We will administer it. Any special medical conditions, must be stated in advance. Any special Medicines that will be needed, must be provided by you, in the original container, with dosage requirements, veterinarian name, phone number and the prescription drug's name.

Training

All Dogs and puppies will be worked no less the five times a day. All dogs and puppies will be trained with a correction collar (slip collar). Remote collars (shock) will not be used, unless owners expressly state, they want it. Owners must supply remote collars or purchase one.

Play Time:

After each training session, and twice daily. Ball, kong or rope tug. Training Treats Real Meat, doggie treats.

Payment:

One half the amount at the time of drop-off. The remainder when training is completed.

#5 **7 Week - Pre-Service dog Program- One Year Guarantee -$3,500.00 Sit, Stand, Down, Sit Stay, Down Stay, Circles Right, Circles Left, Right and Left Turns, Heel, and Recall. On leash, hand signals. AKC Canine Good Citizens test. 10 field trips, for environmental socialization and training included. Unlimited basic group lessons plus three private lessons are included. Free refresher course during boarding. This program will NOT deliver a fully trained service dog, but rather an evaluation of a dog or puppy for service dog work.
